Maintenance process: When it comes to motherboards without IO, it’s not uncommon. If you don’t believe me, many of the miscellaneous motherboards without PS2 keyboard ports are non IO. Now I’ll talk about the general triggering process of IO and non IO motherboards:

First of all, the standby conditions required by the bridge must be met, and then there is an approximate trigger process for the IO motherboard. Regardless of other conditions, for motherboards with IO, the trigger sequence is press the switch → IO, IO → bridge (PWRBTN), bridge (SLP_S3 high level) → IO, IO → PSON.

No IO: press the switch → bridge (PWRBTN), bridge (SLP_S3) → triode → PSON (power supply green line)

So, do you have an idea here? If it is not triggered, you can run the line directly from the PSON of the power port to find the connected triode. The probability of the triode is controlled by the SLP_ S3

Then I picked up the mainboard running line and got the following figure. To trigger power on, the bridge must send a high-level SLP_ S3, pull down the triode in the figure below.

The measured PWRBTN signal directly connected to PCH has 3.3V high high jump when the switch is pressed. Direct SLP_ The B pole of the S3 triode is still low, the C pole is 5V, and the BE pole is shorted. The power supply fan turns up. If you want to repair it, you must_ S3. That is to check whether the bridge meets the conditions required for standby. After simply removing the external resistance of the bridge, there is no clue. You should know that in addition to the theoretical knowledge and manual skills, there is also a decisive factor in maintenance: data! There is no drawing for the inferior motherboard, so where are the rest of the standby conditions measured? After thinking for a long time, I decided to take down the bridge and run the line.

Before dismantling the bridge and running the line, I still welded a bridge with a fluke mentality, but the result was not good. Dismantle the bridge, combine the drawings of Elite H61H2-D, and slowly compare the ASUS H61 point map randomly found on the Xunwei forum, and obtain the following side measurement point data.
