The IBM x3550 M2 was powered off within 10 seconds of startup, and the fault indicator showed BRD. It was caused by the corrosion of two resistors and one capacitor at the eighth pin of max1917 near the fan port. After replacement, it was turned on normally.

There is a lot of dust in it. First clear the dust and turn on the power. It actually shows.However,auto power off does not appear in five seconds. If you turn on auto power off, you can remove the SAS card, disconnect Nand,VCC, and then unplug the optical drive FPC. One redundant power supply is used first, and only one memory is used, including CPU. When it is found that auto power off is turned on for ten seconds, the fault indicator displays BRD,You can basically eliminate the problems caused by other accessories, mainly caused by the motherboard. After careful inspection, a slight trace of corrode was found near the fan port. Two resistors of the eighth pin of max1917 and an Capacitor on the side had corrode. When the two resistors were removed, it was found that one resistor PAD was missing, and the size could not be known. After checking the data, it was found that the memory was VCC chip, which was dual CPU, and there should be a channel of memory VCC,Find the same max1917 on the other side of the motherboard. Refer to the eight pin resistor. It turns out to be a 21k and 10K resistor. Replace the resistance of corrode here with the same one.
